Charles E. 'Chas' Roemer, IV

Chas’ public service includes two terms as a state elected member on The Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education from 2007-2015. During those eight years, three leading as President of the Board, Louisiana established innovative programs including JumpStart, and experienced an increase in ACT scores and graduation rates. He is a founder of one of Louisiana’s first charter schools and served on Governor Bobby Jindal’s education transition team. He was named as one of the 12 people to watch in 2012 by the Baton Rouge Business Report and was recognized as one of Baton Rouge’s top 40 business persons under the age of 40 in 2001.
Chas graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1992 and was selected to give the Harvard Oration during graduation ceremonies. He has a Series 79 Investment Banking License. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and particularly enjoys his academic and sports related service in the area of education.
Charles E. 'Buddy' Roemer, III

Buddy is the former Governor of the State of Louisiana serving from 1988-1992 and a U.S. Congressman from 1981-1988 serving on the Banking Committee. After completing his term as Governor, he was selected a Kennedy Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School.
In 2006, he founded Business First Bank and served as President from 2006-2012. Business First has grown to over $1 billion in assets and has made a profit in every quarter with the exception of its initial opening quarter. In the late 1990’s, he founded and served as President of The Business Bank which at the time was the largest de novo bank in the history of Louisiana. The Business Bank was later acquired by Bancorp South at a significant profit for shareholders. In the early 1990’s, he established The Sterling Group, an international trading firm. Prior to his elected service in the 1980’s, he co-founded Red River Valley Bank in Bossier City, Louisiana and established Innovative Data Systems which at the time was on the cutting edge of developing computer software.
Buddy is a graduate of Harvard University in 1964 and the Harvard Business School in 1967. He has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including the Shaw Group which at the time of his service was a fortune 500 company.
Eugene Ji

He is the author of “The New Circle”, describing his journey to this country, educational experiences, and international business experiences. His story has also been published in the Asian Wall Street, New York Times, and The Baton Rouge Business Report. He is a graduate of The College of Economics at Guizhou University in 1982.
He worked as a business consultant for Tetra Technology for 10 years ( 1996-2006 ). Tetra is a publicly listed Energy service company based in Houston, TX. He also worked on various projects with Angus chemical, Ethel Corp, GE and Wal-Mart. He served as Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden’ s consultant for economic development and served on advisory board as advisor for Southern University’s international students exchange program with National Science Foundation.
Ngainam Wai (Dennis)

Following his graduation from the University of Colorado in 2009, he co-founded an innovative product design company in the extreme sports arena.
He currently serves RRM as Vice- President of Marketing- Asia focusing on energy and manufacturing.
He is an applicant for American Citizenship.
Nicco Mele

Nicco’s first book, The End of Big: How The Internet Makes David The New Goliath, was published by St. Martin’s Press on April 23, 2013. In it, he explores the consequences of living in a socially-connected society, drawing upon his years of experience as an innovator in politics and technology. Nicco sits on the faculty at the Harvard Kennedy School where he teaches graduate-level classes on the impact of technology on institutions and markets.
Born to Foreign Service parents, Nicco spent his early years in Asia and Africa before graduating from the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in government. He then worked for several high-profile advocacy organizations where he pioneered the use of social media as a galvanizing force for fundraising. As webmaster for Governor Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential bid, Nicco and the campaign team popularized the use of technology and social media that revolutionized political fundraising and reshaped American politics.
Since his early days as one of Esquire Magazine’s “Best and Brightest” in America, Nicco has been a sought-after innovator, media commentator, and speaker. He serves on a number of private and non-profit boards, including the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. Nicco is also co-founder of the Massachusetts Poetry Festival.
